*Sitting on the couch, her fingers toyed with the necklace around her neck. The "mom" pendant was simple but striking with the diamond accents. Micah had outdone himself this year. It meant even more knowing he had taken the time to pick it out as an adult. Memories of previous Christmases flipped through her mind. Camden getting an ipod. Tegan and Micah getting matching snowmobiles. She smiled thinking of the fun they had experienced in Maine that year. Her blood tingled and she knew her mate was in the compound again. She would wait for him to fill Lucan in then find her.*
