Tegan and Aric: Making Progress

Aric Chase  *He was hanging out in his room, watching television, when he hears his phone vibrate next to his bed. jumping up to grab it he reads the incoming text from Tegan. "Come to my office". oh oh. Throwing on his shoes he heads down the hallway. Arriving outside Tegan's office he knocks as he walks in.*Looking for me Sir?

Tegan GenOne Yes, I am *Pushing aside the files on his desk, he gestured towards the guest seat* Sit down. We have something to discuss. I met with Lucan and would like to discuss your progress

Aric Chase *Taking the offered seat he folds his hands in his lap.*Lucan, Sir? Is this about the possible day missions he and I discussed last week? He had mentioned he wanted to speak with you.

Tegan GenOne We spoke briefly and we will meet again after I've had a chance to discuss with you *Crossing his arms over his chest, he studied the young Breed in front of him. Taking in his looks and attitude* Tell me, where do you feel you are now?

Aric Chase Well, Sir*He clears his throat* I have been training under you for quite a while now. I feel that my hand to hand combat is strong. My weapons training isn't as strong as I would like it to be honestly.*He cringes at the smirk on Tegan's face at this admission* What is your opinion Sir?

Tegan GenOne *He couldn't help the smirk that lit across his face at the admission. It was rare to find a warrior who could freely admit his faults. It was rather noble* For one, you've accurately pegged your strengths and weaknesses. You've also taken initiative to ask for more. I like that. You know where you're going *Scanning the cabinet, he searched for Aric's file to make some notes*

Aric Chase *Looking up in surprise at the compliment he watches Tegan pull out a file. It isn't often that the warrior spoke so candidly, especially with him.*Thank you Sir. I wish to become an asset to the Order. I have abilities that are unique and I feel could be used to assist our cause. There was a time when we relied heavily on the breedmates to take care of things during the day, I would like to help in any way possible.*He shifts in his chair, trying to mask his nervousness*

Tegan GenOne *He stroked his chin in deep thought* Good point. Have you spoken to your father about this idea? What does he have to say about you taking on such a serious task? *Making a few more notes, he closed the file and set it aside. He would need it soon*

Aric Chase My father?*Pausing, he considers the question*Umm, no Sir, I haven't spoken with Dad about this yet. I haven't had much of a chance to speak with him lately, and frankly I didn't want to speak with him about it until Lucan made his decision. Do you feel I need my father's approval before any decisions are made? Do you think he will have a problem with it?

Tegan GenOne That is not up for me to decide. If you don't want to speak with him, we can. I hope you know it's not that we doubt you. We'd just like to hear what Sterling has to say. *Rising to his feet, he fist bumped the kid* We might have you partner up with Mira. You two could be our daytime recon group.

Aric Chase No, I can speak with him about it. That is not a problem, Sir.*Rising to his feet he fist bumps Tegan in return* I will speak with him the next chance I get. Thank you, Sir. I would be happy to partner with Mira.

Tegan GenOne *He nodded, leading the way out of his office. Aric had been raised and trained well. He would make a fine warrior. With that thought in mind, he headed towards his quarters, bidding the kid Adieu*
