Lucan Thorne
*Checking over the stat sheets from Gideon,
he waits for Tegan to arrive. They have several things
to go over tonight and number two on the list is Sterling's
son. They boy has taken initiative in asking for more responsibilities, and
according to Gideon's report, Kade said
he did well in his field tests. Ultimately though, he relies on Tegan's opinion
on whether a trainee is ready. When the big gen one enters his office, he drops
the reports and offers him a seat*
Tegan GenOne *Nodding at the Boss man
as he entered, he took a seat and brought out his folder without preamble.
Dropping the thick file unto the desk, he leaned back and crossed his arms,
waiting for a review of the information before he spoke*
Lucan
Thorne First thing on my list, we all square with the
Security issue at the Ericson Darkhaven? *When Tegan's jaw tightens and he
gives a nod, the conversation moves on to number two on the agenda* Aric Chase.
I've seen the evaluations from Gideon and Kade; I've seen his fire arms scores
from Niko and driving test results from Dante. What I really need is your opinion;
you’ve been training this kid since he was a boy, our respect for Harvard
aside. Tell me if the kid is ready.
Tegan
GenOne *He resented what the JUSTIS had turned them into - body guards for the stiff coats, who did nothing more than sit on their arses and pass "policies". A shame that in this New Dawn, the Order had to placate some of their egos.* I actually think he is. We've been slowly promoting the others on the ladder, I don't see why not for him too. He definitely has the skills. His genes are nothing to laugh at, and he has proven he has initiative. *He stroked his chin in thought and brought up the next question* Where do you think his talents would be most useful?
Lucan
Thorne *Easing back in his chair, he ponders a moment, then
delivers his decision* Place him with Mira. She has a lot of experience, she knows how to run a team, she's had young trainees, and it will give us more daylight recon options if we run them together. It's an extra set of well trained hands for her and a chance for him to show what he is made of. You are right about his potential, his unique DNA gives him the advantage not only of day walking, but his strength and speed will be untouchable to any breed that isn't a gen one when he reaches his full growth.
Tegan
GenOne Agreed. Those were my thoughts too *Making the
appropriate notes in the folder* I spoke with Sterling, and he voiced his concerns, as any
father would. Aric will need to meet
with Gideon, get his phone outfitted with a second
tracking device and debriefed on reporting. We won't be taking any risks, or
Harvard will have our head *He smirked, hoping Lucan shared the humor*
Lucan
Thorne *Grinning back across the desk, he looks at his old
friend and scoffs* Sterling? Hell. If anything happens to that kid, the two of
us won't stand a chance against the wrath of his mother. Tavia will hunt us down and leave us out
for the sun.
Tegan
GenOne You're in charge, she comes after you...*He barked a
short laugh at that, knowing the Breedmates could be hell on wheels* Will you
do the honors of letting Aric know? I'm sure he'd love to hear it from you
Lucan
Thorne *Seeing that Tegan is literally on the edge of the
high back chair, he decides numbers three and four on his list can wait* I'll
call him in and let him know tomorrow night, the rest of this *he motions to
the papers* can wait as well.
Tegan
GenOne Damn right. I know you have a Breedmate you need to
get back to *Shaking hands, he rose to his feet and gathered the cursed folder.
With all the info they had to keep track of, paperwork became necessary* Night
man
